Essk was the wife of Voodi. She served as a waitress at a diner where her husband was the head chef. When business began to decline, Voodi secretly hired Sko and Wa to burn the business down as part of an insurance scam. Essk was unaware of the scam, which was interrupted by a meeting between Rygel XVI and Scorpius.
After the former-Dominar uncovered the plot, Sko and Wa changed their minds and decided to rob the establishment. Voodi tried to convince them to leave and forget the entire deal -- in return, they killed him. With nothing left but the diner, Essk vowed to burn the place down as Voodi had wanted and to seek out a better life elsewhere.
