The crystallization weapon was a defensive technology used by the Eidelons. The weapon could be fired from Eidelon fighters who patrolled the planet of Qujaga until the Peacekeeper/Scarran War. The weapon transforms any carbon-based life forms it strikes into a pile of crystals. These crystals can then be taken for later analysis. The process is reversible through other technology available to the Eidelons, with the help of a Diagnosan to properly reassemble the crystals in the correct order.
This weapon was employed against Aeryn Sun and John Crichton -- though they were later reconstituted.
