Das was a member of the Clansmen, who mated with Vyna and conceived a child with her. Like all Clansmen, Das lived a carefree life -- though John Crichton believed he had learned the truth about the illness that afflicted the Clansmen. Nevertheless, Das chose not to use the sonic net when he took the stone.
