Nerri was the older brother of Chiana, who eventually came to be a leader in the Nebari Resistance.
History[]
In their youth, Nerri and Chiana chose to leave Nebari Prime, rather than submitting to the conformity of the Nebari Establishment. The Establishment permitted this and even provided them with free transport off of the planet, and free medical examinations.
They made a life for themselves in the Uncharted Territories for two cycles -- doing anything and everything to get by. Eventually, however, Nerri was contacted by a dissident within the Nebari government who told him of the Nebari Contagion and explained that the siblings had been infected with it during their medical examination. They had been spreading the contagion through their numerous sexual encounters. Nerri's contact provided him with a cure which -- although painful -- rid both he and Chiana of the infection.
Knowing that his contact's identity was a valuable piece of intelligence to the Nebari Establishment, Nerri realized he needed to part ways with Chiana. The two had life discs implanted to keep them linked, but otherwise cut all ties. Nerri joined the Nebari Resistance, hoping to fight the Establishment's agenda and -- perhaps -- overthrow their regime.
Nerri had to deactivate his life disc in order to avoid pursuit, but entrusted a recording explaining his situation to Meelak in case he encountered Chiana, though he was given strict instructions not to bring Chiana into the Resistance.
Nerri continued to lead the Resistance for the remainder of his days and, eventually, formed an unofficial alliance with the Uncharted Alliance to stand against the Nebari Establishment. Though Nerri never saw the Establishment toppled, he was instrumental in preventing their expansion.
