Sykarans are a humanoid race, likely distant relatives of Sebaceans, who originate on the planet Sykar in the Uncharted Territories. For many cycles, Sykar was used almost exclusively for the harvesting of tannot roots, to fuel Peacekeeper weaponry. The diet of the Sykarans was also almost exclusively made up of tannot roots -- rendering most of the species into little more than happy drones content to work endlessly.
The intervention of the crew of Moya, the leader of the Sykarans learned how to create chakan oil and became sure that her people could free themselves of Peacekeeper control.
