Two Zenetan pirates with Rygel XVI
The Zenetans are a humanoid species from the planet Zenet in the Uncharted Territories, though they vary wildly from most of the other humanoid species of the Milky Way. There is little differentiation between males and females -- in fact, androgyny seems to be the norm and even Zenetans can become confused about their own genders. In order to continue the species, Zenetans have developed an ability to secrete pheromones that only another Zenetan can detect.
Zenetans are a spacefaring race, who primarily work as merchants and traders. Zenetans have a close-knit society that values hard work. There is seen to be little room for improvement in Zenetan society, and as such the society has largely stagnated. Nevertheless, most Zenetans are totally content.
A small portion of the species has broken off and formed the fearsome space marauders known as the Zenetan Pirates. Zenetan pirates are distinguishable from other Zenetans by their facial tattoos.
