The Mount Versant Observatory, located on Mount Versant on the planet Denea, is a scientific research facility. It was from this observatory that Lyneea witnessed Moya's arrival on the planet -- although she had previously believed she had seen a U.E.O. sighting one cycle earlier, which had turned out only to be a terrestrial event. After Lyneea's contact with alien lifeforms, she led the Mount Versant in becoming one of the premier scientific facilities on the planet. It was largely responsible when the Deneans did finally achieve space travel.
