The teleport bracelets aboard the Liberator were made of an alloy that contained aquitar. The ship originally carried 32 of these bracelets. These sophisticated devices not only allowed the Liberator's crew to teleport to and from the ship, but also acted as communication devices.
The technology used to create the bracelets, developed by the Altas, was complicated enough that the Terran Federation was unable to reverse engineer the bracelets despite gaining access to several of them while chasing after the Liberator and its crew.
Many of these bracelets were lost or destroyed before the Liberator itself was ultimately destroyed. Some instances where this occurred include:
- On Cygnus Alpha, Vargas destroyed two bracelets while interrogating Roj Blake. A third was lost later when Vargas was teleported into deep space.
- Though a bracelet had been given to Sara, she removed it and the bracelet was destroyed with the Ortega.
- The bracelets given to Professor Kayn and Renor were lost and most likely destroyed along with XK-72.
- Sarkoff and Tyce used bracelets to leave the Liberator and never reconnected with the crew to return them.
- Jenna Stannis lost a bracelet on the planet Cephlon -- during the struggle, the bracelet itself was damaged and was never teleported back aboard the ship.
- Mori was wearing a bracelet when he fell into the volcano on Obsidian.
- On Ultraworld, Relf destroyed the bracelets worn by Dayna Mellanby and Del Terrant. Kerr Avon's bracelet was destroyed by one of the Ultras.
A functional teleport bracelet could be returned to the ship without being worn. It is also highly probable that additional teleport bracelets could be manufactured by the Liberator itself through it's automatic repair capabilities.
